The Mobile Diagnostic Project
A phased, measurable plan to bring diagnostics to every underserved community across Northern Uganda and the West Nile region.
Project Goal
Establish a sustainable mobile diagnostic service that closes the healthcare access gap for rural and refugee communities in Northern Uganda and the West Nile region.
Project Objectives
- Deliver diagnostic and screening services to at least 4 villages weekly
- Reach over 1,000,000 potential beneficiaries across the region
- Reduce time-to-diagnosis for common and chronic conditions
- Build local capacity through trained community health workers
Project Activities
- Weekly mobile clinic outreach visits on a rotating village schedule
- On-site laboratory testing and portable imaging
- Community health education and disease-prevention sessions
- Structured referral to MJ Medical Care Centre and partner hospitals
Monitoring & Evaluation
Every outreach visit is logged — patients served, tests conducted, referrals made — and reviewed monthly against targets to guide route planning and resource allocation.
Sustainability Plan
A blend of donor funding, corporate sponsorship, and modest cost-recovery from affordable services ensures the mobile clinic can continue operating and expanding its route network long-term.
